Boba Plush Crochet Pattern – Amigurumi

Some of my favorite things to crochet are foods and sweet treats. I feel like the art of amigurumi really lends itself to cute crochet foods. I actually had my first boba tea a few months ago! I know, I’m very late to the party. I didn’t know what I was missing until now. I blame the delay to me living in quite a rural area with not many boba options nearby. Of course now that I have tried it, I can’t get enough. My favorite so far is the brown sugar milk tea boba but I can’t wait to try many more flavors. I couldn’t wait to crochet a cute boba drink and love bringing you all more free patterns!

For this pattern, I used Sweet Snuggles yarn (which is a Size 7 Jumbo yarn) for a soft & bulky look, Premier Parfait Chunky for the boba pearls (Size 6, Super Bulky) as well as medium yarn for the straw. Click here to get Sweet Snuggles yarn for this project. MATERIALS & TOOLS

ABBREVIATIONS

  • CH – chain
  • SC – single crochet
  • INC – single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
  • DEC – decrease (I use the invisible decrease in all of my creations for a cleaner look)
  • SLST – slip stitch
  • FLO – front loops only
  • BLO – back loops only
  • FO – fasten off
  • Magic ring (MR) – Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert the hook in the center of the loop, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Yarn over, and pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. There are many excellent YouTube videos on how to make a magic circle if you are a visual learner! Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round.

THIS PATTERN IS WORKED IN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS.
