Easy Snowman Free Crochet Pattern

Hey crochet friends! I’m very excited to share something cozy and fun with you – an easy snowman free crochet pattern. I just love creating new free patterns and seeing the creative approaches you all give to your new plushies! I actually created this pattern a few years ago but decided it was time to give it a much-needed revamp, especially since I mainly use chenille yarn now. Although I do use fluffy yarn for this project, it works well with any yarn type! So imagine yourself, wrapped in your favorite blanket, sipping on a warm drink, and crocheting the cutest snowman. This project is perfect for my newer crocheters as well since it includes an entire video tutorial. So, grab your hook, heat up a cup of hot cocoa, and let’s turn some yarn into a snug little snow buddy together. Trust me, your winter days are about to get a whole lot cuter!

I hope you love creating this plush as much as I did. Whether you’re making a handmade gift for a loved one or a unique addition to your own home decor, the Easy Snowman Plush is sure to be a fun project. If you prefer video tutorials, or need more help, there is a full tutorial for this pattern at the bottom of this page!

For this pattern, I used Premier Parfait Chunky yarn (which is my favorite yarn) for a soft pastel look. Click here to get Premier yarn for this project. If you enjoy this pattern, please give me a follow on social media and let me know what other free patterns you would love to see! Also, don’t forget to tag me in your creations on instagram. Happy crocheting 🙂

MATERIALS & TOOLS

ABBREVIATIONS

  • CH – chain
  • SC – single crochet
  • INC – single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
  • DEC – decrease (I use the invisible decrease in all of my creations for a cleaner look)
  • DC – double crochet
  • FLO – crochet in the front loops only
  • FO – fasten off
  • Magic ring (MR) – Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert the hook in the center of the loop, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Yarn over, and pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. There are many excellent YouTube videos on how to make a magic circle if you are a visual learner! Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round.

THIS PATTERN IS WORKED IN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS.
