Kirby Amigurumi Plush – Free Crochet Pattern

I’m a big fan of anything Nintendo and grew up playing games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers. My choice fighter was always Kirby in Super Smash because he could suck up any character and get their powers. How cool is that?? As I’ve gotten older, I actually think my love for Kirby has grown along with my love for anything kawaii. I knew I wanted to crochet a Kirby plush for my craft room and especially wanted to use super bulky yarn for a soft and fluffy look. I first made a Kirby with a santa hat on for Christmas and wanted to continue that trend to make a Valentines themed Kirby holding a heart. I hope you love this pattern and please tag me in your creations on social media; I love to see them! (@thewondercrochet) I used Premier Parfait Chunky yarn for this project and I think it turned out so cute. This yarn really is my favorite for how soft and easy it is to use. Feel free to use any yarn of your choosing but of course it will look a bit different depending on what you use. If you enjoy this pattern, please give me a follow on social media and let me know what other free patterns you would love to see! Happy crocheting 🙂

MATERIALS & TOOLS

ABBREVIATIONS

  • Ch – chain
  • Sc – single crochet
  • Inc- single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
  • Dec- decrease (I use the invisible decrease in all of my creations for a cleaner look)
  • Fo – fasten off
  • Magic ring (mr)– Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert hook in center of loop, yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over, pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. There are many wonderful YouTube videos on how to make a magic circle if you are a visual learner!Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round.

THIS PATTERN IS WORKED IN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS.
