Frogs have been a crochet trend for quite a while now and it’s no wonder why. They are cute and one of the easiest animals to crochet. This makes them a very popular project for beginner amigurumi artists. I created this simple frog pattern for beginners and hope you love making them as much as I did!
For this pattern, I used Premier Parfait Chunky yarn (which is my favorite yarn) for a soft pastel look. Click here to get Premier yarn for this project. If you enjoy this pattern, please give me a follow on social media and let me know what other free patterns you would love to see! Also, don’t forget to tag me in your creations on instagram. Happy crocheting 🙂

MATERIALS & TOOLS
- Yarn: Premier Parfait Chunky (Size 6) in mint, white & pink
- Crochet hook (Size 6.0 mm)
- Polyfil – fiberfill stuffing
- Black felt for the mouth
- Safety eyes
- Fabric glue
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker
- Sewing pins
ABBREVIATIONS
- CH – chain
- SC – single crochet
- INC – single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
- DEC – decrease (I use the invisible decrease in all of my creations for a cleaner look)
- FO – fasten off
- Magic ring – Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert hook in the center of loop, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Yarn over, pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. There are many wonderful YouTube videos on how to make a magic circle if you are a visual learner! Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round.
THIS PATTERN IS WORKED IN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS.
