Mike Wazowski Free Disney Crochet Pattern – Amigurumi

I was rewatching Monsters Inc and Monsters University and remembered how much I love the character Mike Wazowski. I think most people favor him over Sully because he is relatable in his imperfections. While watching Monsters Inc I remembered how much I enjoy the sushi restaurant scene and the fun chaos that ensues from there. I knew I wanted to crochet a Mike plush and create a free pattern for you all to create him too! I am also working on a full tutorial on youtube if you prefer to follow along that way, so stay tuned for that.

For this pattern, I used Premier Parfait Chunky yarn (my favorite yarn) for a soft pastel look. Click here to get Premier yarn for this project. If you enjoy this pattern, please give me a follow on social media and let me know what other free patterns you would love to see! Happy crocheting 🙂

MATERIALS & TOOLS

ABBREVIATIONS

  • CH – chain
  • SC – single crochet
  • INC – single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
  • DEC – decrease (I use the invisible decrease in all of my creations for a cleaner look)
  • FO – fasten off
  • Magic ring – Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert the hook in the center of the loop, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Yarn over, and pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. There are many wonderful YouTube videos on how to make a magic circle if you are a visual learner! Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round.

THIS PATTERN IS WORKED IN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS.
