Mr. Chimera Spy x Family Plush Crochet Pattern – Amigurumi

Last year, I really started to get into watching anime. I was never a huge fan growing up, mainly because I didn’t have friends who watched it. I did love cartoons however, especially Avatar the Last Airbender and Pokemon. I know those aren’t anime but I feel like they were the gateway to being interested in watching them. This past year, I watched Hunter x Hunter, Sailor Moon, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, Fruits Basket, and Spy x Family. I enjoyed them all but fell in love with Spy x Family. I love the humor and storyline of the show and especially love the character Anya. As soon as I saw Anya’s Chimera plush, I knew I had to crochet it. So if you are also a Spy x Family fan, I hope you enjoy this free Mr. Chimera crochet pattern! I also included a video tutorial for my bat plushes at the end since they use the same wings and that part may be difficult for beginners.

For this pattern, I used Premier Parfait Chunky yarn (which is my favorite yarn) for a soft pastel look. Click here to get Premier yarn for this project. If you enjoy this pattern, please give me a follow on social media and let me know what other free patterns you would love to see! Also, don’t forget to tag me in your creations on instagram. Happy crocheting 🙂

MATERIALS & TOOLS

ABBREVIATIONS

  • CH – chain
  • SC – single crochet
  • INC – single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
  • DEC – decrease (I use the invisible decrease in all of my creations for a cleaner look)
  • HDC – half double crochet
  • DC – double crochet
  • SLST – slip stitch
  • FO – fasten off
  • Magic ring (MR) – Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert the hook in the center of the loop, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Yarn over, and pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. There are many excellent YouTube videos on how to make a magic circle if you are a visual learner! Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round.

THIS PATTERN IS WORKED IN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS.
