No-Sew Tulip Pillow Free Crochet Pattern

I’m so excited to bring you the next crochet pattern in my flower pillow series, the tulip! Can we just take a moment to talk about how much I adore spring? It’s like nature hits the refresh button, and everything bursts into color! 🌷 With this pattern, we’re bringing all that springtime joy straight into your home. So grab your fluffy chenille yarn and let’s crochet a beautiful tulip pillow together!

I couldn’t wait to create this Easter-time flower into an easy crochet pillow. The best part about these flower pillow patterns is there is absolutely no sewing required to create them. They also look beautiful in any space! If you need more help or prefer video tutorials, a full tutorial for this pattern can be found at the bottom of this page.

If you prefer PDF patterns with no ads, or just want to support me as an artist, the PDF for this pattern is available for purchase here. For this pattern, I used Size 7 Jumbo yarn from Premier Yarns, PARFAIT XL in Sunshine & Key Lime. Click here to get yarn for this project. You can also use Sweet Snuggles Yarn for this project. Just a heads up, not all size 7 yarn is created equal, some are smaller or much larger. You will need about 1.5 skeins of yellow (138 yards) & less than 1 skein of green (60 yards). Note: due to differing tensions, you may need more or less yarn than recommended.

THIS PATTERN USES THE “NO-SEW” METHOD TO ATTACH THE LEAVES TO THE STEM

HOW TO ATTACH LEAVES WITH THE “NO-SEW” METHOD:

STEP 1: FLATTEN THE OPENING ON THE LEAF. INSERT YOUR HOOK THROUGH BOTH THE STITCHES OF THE SEPARATE LEAF AS WELL AS THE STITCH ON THE STEM.

STEP 2: DO A SINGLE CROCHET THROUGH ALL STITCHES, CONTINUE DOING AS MANY SINGLE CROCHETS AS THE PATTERN CALLS FOR TO ATTACH THE LEAF.

  • TIE EACH LEAF TO THE STEM SO THAT THEY DO NOT FLOP DOWN. I DID THIS BY TAKING A PIECE OF GREEN YARN, AND TYING EACH LEAF TO THE STEM WITH A DOUBLE KNOT. WEAVE THE TAILS INTO THE STEM
  • TO CLOSE UP THE HOLES BETWEEN THE FLOWER BUMPS, YOU CAN EITHER SEW THEM SHUT OR SIMPLY TIE THEM CLOSED WITH A STRAND OF YELLOW YARN. WEAVE THE TAILS INTO THE FLOWER

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU FINISHED YOUR TULIP PILLOW!

I hope you enjoyed this pattern and found it easy to follow.
