When Pokemon Arceus came out, I started playing it like many other fans. I quickly fell in love with the starter Rowlet for how cute and round he is. I knew of course that I had to crochet my own Rowlet plush. I first free-handed this plush as I just wanted it for myself and didn’t think others would be that interested in the crochet pattern. I was wrong. Over several months, many of you have asked for a Rowlet pattern and I just didn’t have one since it was just a spur of the moment project. I decided to go back and recreate this cute pokemon so I could write down the pattern for you all. Here is the long-awaited Rowlet crochet pattern. I hope you love making it as much as I did!
For this pattern, I used Premier Parfait Chunky yarn (which is my favorite yarn) for a soft pastel look. Click here to get Premier yarn for this project. Happy crocheting 🙂
MATERIALS & TOOLS
- Yarn: Premier Parfait Chunky (Size 6) in mint, white, tan & orange
- Crochet hook (Size 6.0 mm)
- Polyfil – fiberfill stuffing
- Felt for face details – black, white & orange
- Fabric glue
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker
- Sewing pins
ABBREVIATIONS
- CH – chain
- SC – single crochet
- INC – single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
- DEC – decrease (I use the invisible decrease in all of my creations for a cleaner look)
- FO – fasten off
- Magic ring – Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert hook in the center of loop, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Yarn over, pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. There are many wonderful YouTube videos on how to make a magic circle if you are a visual learner! Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round.
THIS PATTERN IS WORKED IN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS.
