Stitches Free Crochet Pattern – Amigurumi

When I first started crocheting, I quickly got into making Animal Crossing characters. I loved the game Animal Crossing New Horizons when it came out and especially loved how many different characters (villagers) there were. Making these villagers really grew my crochet skills and especially my pattern writing skills. I loved figuring out how to design new characters and work out the different shapes of the animals. I released many patterns and designed many characters but have since retired the patterns. I thought it would be fun to bring one of the patterns back! Stitches the bear is one of the most popular villagers in the game and definitely a popular one to crochet due to his “handmade” look. I hope you love making this sweet bear and it brings you nostalgia of playing Animal Crossing for the first time.

For this pattern, I used a combination of Red Heart and Big Twist medium sized yarns. If you enjoy this pattern, please give me a follow on social media and let me know what other free patterns you would love to see! Happy crocheting πŸ™‚

-NOW YOU ARE GOING TO CUT AND ATTACH THE FELT DETAILS

CUT OUT 2 STARS IN EACH COLOR (YELLOW, GREEN, RED & BLUE) & ATTACH 4 TO THE FRONT OF THE SHIRT AND 4 TO THE BACK

-IN WHITE, CUT OUT A CIRCLE ABOUT 1 INCH TALL AND 1 1/2 INCHES WIDE – ATTACH TO FACE BETWEEN ROWS 17 & 23
IN BROWN, CUT OUT THE MOUTH DETAILS AND X’S FOR THE EYES – ATTACH AS SEEN BELOW

-IN PURPLE, CUT OUT AN OBLONG OVAL ABOUT 6 INCHES LONG AND 1 1/2 INCHES WIDE AT THE THICKEST PART AND ATTACH STARTING AT THE ROUND WHITE MOUTHPIECE
-USING EITHER FELT OR WOOL, CUT A CIRCLE FOR THE INNER EARS, GREEN & ORANGE

-USING ORANGE YARN, STITCH IN AND OUT OF THE ROWS ON THE SIDES OF THE HEAD AND ON THE OUTSIDES OF THE LEGS FOR A “STICHED” LOOK (SEE BELOW)
